Beautiful Homer Alaska is home to locally owned and operated Sea Nymph Charters. Homer is located about 220 miles southwest of Anchorage. Homer is tucked in on the westerly side of the stunning Kenai Peninsula on the shores of beautiful glistening Kachemak Bay.

“The Halibut Fishing Capital of the World” (and that’s true) is the welcoming sign, however Homer is also known for its quality salmon fishing. Homer is surrounded by breathtaking snow capped mountains, glacial valleys and nearby volcanoes.

Sea Nymph Charters, serving recreational sport fishing in Alaska, is owned and operated by Captain Bob Howard. We specialize in king salmon sport fishing all year round as well as fishing for halibut in the summer. F/V Sea Nymph, with its 32+’ length and over 12’ wide beam is a safe and comfortable vessel. Seniors will appreciate the safety features inside the spacious heated cabin and on the large fishing deck that is surrounded with high rails, rod holders and seating. A typical day on the water with Captain Bob at the helm offers time to observe the wonderful sea life that might include whales, seals, porpoise, sea lions, puffins and sea otters. There is always time for quality photo opportunities along the way to the fishing grounds.

Our specialty:
Winter King Fishing. Especially unique to Homer is the winter king salmon fishing from October to April when these fish are found in protected waters near shore. We call these fish “feeder kings” and they are rich in Omega 3 oils that are so good for us. The waters are calm, the mountains are brilliant with a new dusting of snow and the fish are in quality condition. The typical winter king fishing day coincides with the day light hours, departing at first light and returning when our fish are caught, or sundown, whichever comes first. Salmon fishing is generally available all year round in the food rich Kachemak Bay waters.
